Basic policy on protection of personal information

Ishifuku Metal Industry Co., Ltd. ("Company") recognizes the proper handling of personal information, including specified personal information, as an important social responsibility. Together with complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures, and other applicable laws, regulations and national guidelines, we strive to protect and use personal information appropriately under the following policy.

1. Purposes of use

The Company makes clear the purposes of use of personal information and collects personal information through legal and appropriate means within the scope necessary for such purposes of use. Personal information will not be used beyond the extent of the clearly defined purposes except as authorized by laws or regulations.

2. Security

Together with striving to ensure and improve security to prevent leaks or, loss to, damage to, or unauthorized access to personal information, the Company will take necessary and appropriate corrective measures swiftly in response to any issues.

3. Oversight of employees

To ensure the security of personal information, the Company carries out necessary and appropriate oversight of Company employees, through means such as ensuring that they thoroughly understand in-house rules on handling of personal information.

4. Oversight of subcontractors

To the extent authorized by laws and regulations, the Company may subcontract to vendors it recognizes to employ appropriate information-management structures handling of all or part of customers' personal information. When doing so, it employs necessary and appropriate oversight to ensure that subcontractors manage personal data securely, through means such as clearly specifying subcontractors' duties and responsibilities in contracts with them.

5. Purposes of use by third parties

Except as authorized by laws and regulations, the Company will not provide specified personal information to third parties. In addition, it will not provide personal information other than specified personal information to third parties except with the consent of the individuals concerned and as authorized by laws and regulations.

If you have any requests concerning notification of the purposes of use of, disclosure of, correction of, addition to, or partial deletion of, or cession of use of or deletion of "Personal data the business holds" defined by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, submit them to the email address shown below. The Company will respond promptly and appropriately through the designated procedures.

7. Continual improvement

The Company shall review this policy as appropriate in response to factors such as the progress of information technology and society's changing demands, as it strives to improve its handling of personal information on a continual basis.
